Seller Policy
Seller Refund and Platform Fee Policy
For service payments processed through a seller's connected payment account, the seller is responsible for setting and honoring the seller's own refund, deposit, cancellation, and no-show policies.
If a seller issues a refund to a client for a service payment, the seller remains responsible for funding that refund. ChairPal's platform fee charged to the seller on deposit transactions is not automatically refunded when the seller issues a client refund. Stripe processing fees and other payment-related deductions may also remain charged or deducted under Stripe's rules.
ChairPal may, in its sole discretion, refund its platform fee in limited cases such as duplicate charges, platform error, or another approved exception. ChairPal subscription refunds are governed separately by the ChairPal Subscription Refund Policy.
Simple operating rule
- seller refund = seller funds it
- ChairPal fee stays by default
- ChairPal fee refunded only by exception
